Academy Program
A Path Built for Every Student
Most educators know that no two students are alike. Some students thrive in a learning environment that offers more flexibility, individualized support, and opportunities tailored to their goals.
Hamilton Southeastern Schools launched the Hamilton Southeastern Fishers Academy (HSFA) in August 2017 to provide high school juniors and seniors with academic interventions and workforce opportunities while keeping them connected to their home high school. Students may be recommended for the program by their home school's guidance counselor.
HSFA works with Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School to create personalized learning plans that address students' academic and social-emotional needs. Students can work toward earning the credits they need to graduate while developing skills and preparing for their next step after high school.
Inside the Academy, students learn in a small classroom setting designed to support both independence and connection. They can work at their own pace, focus on their goals, and access teachers and support staff when they need assistance. This approach gives students the flexibility to take ownership of their learning while knowing they have a team behind them.
What sets HSFA apart is its focus on helping each student find a path to success. With an emphasis on academics, skill-building, and future preparedness, the Academy helps students earn credits, build confidence, and take the next step toward their career or postsecondary goals.
