Journey of a Student
Exploring Possibilities. Discovering Passions. Creating Connections.
Throughout this school year, you will be hearing more and more about Hamilton Southeastern Schools’ Journey of a Student. The Journey of a Student was created by our community including hundreds of student, parent, teacher, community leader, and employer voices collaborated to define the knowledge, skills, and attributes every HSE graduate must have to positively contribute to our community as a citizen and employee.
This work serves as a focus of Innovate 2028 – HSE's current action plan. With community and parent support, students will have guaranteed community learning and career exploration experiences where they will develop and be assessed on this knowledge, skills, and attributes. These experiences will ensure HSE students continue to perform at a high level, connect with our community and local workforce, and upon graduation, have multiple opportunities to move into college, career, and/or the military, making an informed decision about what is best for their future.
Join the Journey
We’re seeking community partners to help students gain real-world experiences that prepare them for life beyond K–12. There are many ways to get involved, such as supporting project-based learning, guest speaking, and hosting internships. If you're interested in partnering with us, please complete the form below. For questions, contact our Director of PK–12 Initiatives, Steve Loser, at sloser@hse.k12.in.us.
