Gain a Deeper Understanding of Hamilton Southeastern Schools

Do you want to learn more about how our HSE operates? HSEngaged is a nine-month community engagement program that will teach the inner workers of our district. Participants will learn about all facets of HSE, including business management, academic programs, student services, operations, and more.

Applications for the 2025-2026 cohort are closed. Check back this Summer to apply for the 2026-2027 cohort!

2025-2026 Meeting Dates

There are nine class sessions (August-April) that alternate times from 9:00-11:00 AM or 11 AM-1:00 PM once a month:

11:00a, Aug. 28: Welcome to HSEngaged hosted at HSE Administration Building

9:00a, Sept. 25: Building a Foundation hosted at Hoosier Road Elementary

11:00a, Oct. 23: The Cost of Education hosted at Fall Creek Junior High

9:00a, Nov. 20: Preparing Students for the Future hosted at Fishers High School

11:00a, Dec. 18: Learning Reimagined hosted at Deer Creek Elementary

9:00a, Jan. 22: Mental Health and School Safety hosted at Riverside Junior High

11:00a, Feb. 26: Behind-the-Scenes at HSE hosted at Cumberland Road Elementary

9:00a, Mar. 26: Educational Supports hosted at Hamilton Southeastern High School

11:00a, Apr. 23: End-of-Year Celebration at Sand Creek Intermediate

Opportunities for Participants 

  • Gain first-hand, "behind the scenes" knowledge of how HSE Schools functions.

  • Experience the unique, student-driven learning style.

  • Participate in an extended dialogue with leadership on education issues.

  • Develop an understanding of how decisions and programs are implemented to foster a culture of educational excellence.
