Hamilton Southeastern Schools Opens Applications for 2022-21 HSEngaged
Hamilton Southeastern Schools launched a new community engagement program in 2021, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at operations.
In its first year, HSEngaged started with a class of 29 individuals who are parents of Hamilton Southeastern students and/or live in the school community.
For the second year, we are exanding the cohort in an effort to allow more people to experince this unique offering.
HSEngaged will gives participants a deeper understanding of Hamilton Southeastern Schools. During the 9-month program, participants engage in extended dialogue with leadership and develop an understanding of how decisions and programs are implemented to foster a culture of academic excellence.
Participants are selected through an application process based their affiliation with HSE Schools, their understanding of issues and challenges, their involvement in the community and their desire to assist in sharing HSE Schools’ vision throughout the community.
Below are what some of the 2021-22 participants had to say about HSEngaged:
“I thought all the topics on our agenda this year were important, engaging and relevant to our overall learning experience.”
“Thank you for providing this opportunity to learn about HSE Schools. I am excited to be able to share my new knowledge and insight with others in the community.”
“I exit this program more proud that my children go here. Thank you for sharing relevant and important information.”
“I loved the student-led tours of the buildings and hearing all HSE offers. It’s also interesting to hear how “school” has evolved through the years.”
