The Hamilton Southeastern Board of School Trustees has named Mathew Rapp as the new Director of Facilities and Maintenance. He takes over the leadership role from Harry Delks, who retired after nearly 22 years with the corporation.
 
Rapp will now oversee all ongoing and future construction, maintenance, and alterations of 24 buildings and 10,000 pieces of equipment within HSE Schools. On average, the department responds to 15,000 work orders each year.
 
“Mathew Rapp has vast experience and knowledge of managing world-class facilities, including sporting, educational and municipal environments,” said Superintendent Dr. Yvonne Stokes. “He has proven himself as a leader within HSE Schools in his previous role as maintenance manager, and we believe he will continue to ensure students and staff have access to safe, conducive learning environments.”
 
Rapp, a U.S. Navy Veteran, has spent nearly his entire career in facility and maintenance management. Prior to coming to HSE Schools in 2018, he worked for Victory Field, a minor league ballpark in downtown Indianapolis. He also spent six years at Indianapolis Public Schools overseeing building work at Arsenal Technical High School, located on 76 acres with 19 total buildings.  
 
“It's my goal to always provide a safe, inviting environment for our students, teachers and greater Fishers community; where minds can be stimulated and dreams can be explored,” said Rapp.
 
Rapp has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Wesleyan University, where he also recently obtained his Master of Business Administration in Project Management.
 
In his free time, Rapp enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, both of whom are graduates of Fishers High School.
