100% Virtual-Only Option (Phase II)

  • Virtual-only attendance is being offered through the current semester and the need to continue this option will be re-evaluated near the end of October / start of November.   
  • ​If families elect for their student(s) to be virtual-only, they may return to on-site learning if circumstances change.
  • To make the change from virtual-only to on-site, families will need to contact the school administrator to determine the appropriate date to change learning models.
  • In the case of a quarantine of a student, small group, class or teacher, the teacher and/or administrator will notify families of any potential scheduling changes. 

K-4 100% Virtual Learning



K-4 Virtual-only students will:
  • Attend morning Organizational Meetings at 9:00 a.m.
  • Listen to three recorded lessons per day.
  • Listen to one recorded Related Arts lesson per day.
  • Attend an optional Live Zoom for enrichment or remediation provided by a Building Specialist.
 
The classroom teachers will notify families of any schedule changes. 
 

5-6 100% Virtual Learning



Intermediate Virtual-only students will:
  • Learn alongside of their classmates who have chosen the 50/50 model.    
  • Follow their daily class schedule and will report for classes at their assigned time, whether on-site or virtual.   
  • Be provided a mix of live lessons, recorded lessons, live small groups and give time for independent work.
  • Experience Related Arts and/or Enrichment Sessions provided by a Building Specialist.
The classroom teachers will notify families of any schedule changes. 
 

7-12 100% Virtual Learning

  • Students who are 100% virtual will learn alongside of their classmates who have chosen the 50/50 model.    
  • All students will follow their daily class schedule and will report for classes at their assigned time, whether on-site or virtual.     
  • Virtual students will join their class via Zoom and/or CANVAS at the same time that on-site students will report to class.
  • Teachers will communicate with virtual students at the beginning of each class period to review learning objectives and set expectations for the day.
  • Teachers will have a dedicated time for supporting virtual students each day. 
Virtual Learning Examples
  • Teachers may decide to have virtual students attend direct instruction synchronously. 
  • Teachers may break kids into small group and have them work on projects together with on-site students
  • Teachers may instruct students to work on an assignment in CANVAS and then conduct a whole group class with both in-person and virtual students.  

Each teacher will develop their lesson plans and communicate their expectations to students.  Every teacher will have the creative freedom to tackle their curriculum objectives.  Whether in-person or virtual, all students will be following the same curriculum.
