Frequently Asked Questions 

To enroll at HSE Schools, please follow the 3 steps below:

Step 1: 

Determine which school your student will attend by visiting our Google Map. The school your student will attend is determined by your home address. With the map, you may need to "zoom out" as the search result will zoom into your exact location. Zooming out will allow you to see the whole map. **Disclaimer:  If you are moving to a new area, it may not immediately populate on the Google map. In which case, calling the school to verify which school you will attend is recommended.  
 

Step 2:

Please have the following documents ready to upload with your application:
State-issued Birth Certificate
Current Immunization Records Indiana School Immunizations
Parent or Guardian Photo ID
Proof of Guardianship or Custody, if applicable
Proof of Residency (English) Proof of Residency (English)

Note: If you are not the homeowner or lease holder of the residence, please include the Affidavit of Residency in your Enrollment Application

Helpful Hints to uploading your Enrollment Documents:
If you have a scanner:
Scan each document separately and email to your home email address
From your email, open and save the document to your desktop or easily accessible storage
At Step 5 in the enrollment application, upload from your desktop/accessible storage
Picture from a Mobil Phone:
Take a clear picture of each document separately
Email the picture to your home email
From your email, save the document to your desktop/easily accessible storage

Step 3: 

NEW HSE Families: CLICK HERE to create a NEW Skyward account. 

CURRENT HSE Families: If you are an existing family, adding a sibling, you will need to log into Family Access on Skyward. Select "new student online enrollment" in the upper left hand corner.

Please note: Existing families moving from grade to grade will not have to "enroll" - you will simply need to update your Back to School forms in Skyward, Back to School Forms 2022-23.

If you are having trouble enrolling online, please contact your child's school. 

 

TRANSFER APPEAL PROCESS

If you would like your child to attend a different school other than your "home" school or if you have not taken possession of your home/apartment, you will need to submit a transfer appeal request.

Can I transfer if I live outside of the district?

Hamilton Southeastern Schools does NOT accept outside transfers.

Am I allowed to transfer to another school within the district?

If you are currently in the HSE district and want to transfer to another school, you must fill out a transfer appeal form. CLICK HERE to complete a Transfer Appeal. Paper transfer appeal forms will always be accepted as needed, however, completion of the online form is preferred.

What if my student completed their junior year of high school, but will be moving. Can they finish their last year at HSE?

Yes. Students who have completed their junior year at Fishers High School or Hamilton Southeastern High School may complete their senior year regardless of their residency. Students must provide their own transportation. If moving outside of the district, you must file a Transfer Appeal as listed above.
